The Cornish Pasty, (Oggie) a traditional Cornish pasty
is known as a “Full baked Meal in it’s Self” Known
and enjoyed through out the world where Cornish Tin miners
worked and settled, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa,
Michigan (USA), Mexico, Russia to name a few. The miners
wives bringing with them their own recipes for their pasty's.
An authentic Cornish Pasty contains onions, potatoes,
rutabaga ( swede ), Beef , seasoning , and all wrapped
raw in a pastry crust and baked. Served hot or cold they
are equally delicious
The Georgia Pasty Company was started in 2007 in Lake
Park Georgia, by Graham Elliott. Lake Park is located in
South Georgia, just 15 miles from the Florida Border. South
Georgians have welcomed the unfamiliar cornish pasty with
open arms, while exciting their taste buds to new levels.
Graham is a City & Guilds of London qualified chef.
He has lived and worked all over the world; UK, Germany,
Malawi, Rwanda, Kenya,Tanzania, USA, Iraq, Jersey CI, Vanuatu.
He has worked in numerous positions throughout the catering
industry. Chef Elliott owned his own catering company in
South Africa, and his own restaurant " the Swazi River
Cafe" in Swaziland. Graham has won numerous cooking
contests, medals and awards throughout his catering career.
He has now settled down in Valdosta GA with his wife Sharie.
